NORTHFIELD — Even after 16 years, Frontier coach Sean MacDonald still appreciates an opportunity to compete in the postseason.

‘People think that this feeling gets old and forget there’s new people on our team each year,’ MacDonald said. ‘I may look old, but it doesn’t get old for them because this is the first semifinal game for many of them. I couldn’t be more proud of this team, though.’

Moments after Taylor Murphy‘s ace kept Turners Falls‘alive during the third set of Wednesday’s Western Massachusetts Division III semifinals; the Red Hawks countered with two straight points to take the three-set victory (25-12, 25-7, 25-16) at Pioneer Valley Regional.
