New Hartford, N.Y. — When New Hartford’s girls soccer teams take the field on Tuesday against Whitesboro, their uniforms will be red, but their cleats will have rainbow shoelaces.
For the second straight season, the Spartans (junior varsity and varsity) will participate in ‘Play with Pride,” a nationwide initiative by United Soccer Coaches held during Sept. 16-22 to support LGBTQ players, coaches, support staff, referees and fans across the globe.
United Soccer Coaches was founded in 1941, and its mission is to become a trusted and unifying voice, advocate and partner for coaches at all levels of the game.
