Kendra Battle is a three-sport standout for West Aurora ‘ ‘She’s a really powerful hitter and just seems to be someone for the girls to lean on every once in a while.

Kendra Battle is a three-sport standout for West Aurora, but volleyball gets the edge over track and basketball.

‘It’s my favorite, although I really love track, too,’ she said. ‘The thing about volleyball, it’s not independent. It’s a team effort, but you also hold yourself accountable for everything you do.’

Further on.

It’s the third straight time the teams have met in the championship match and the first win for host West Aurora.

‘We were close last year to beating (JCA) and were so devastated,’ Battle said of a 25-20, 25-16 loss. ‘We knew they’d be good again this year. We just really wanted it and played strong at the end.’
