“My personal view is we’ll get there,” said Murphy to reporters at Arm & Hammer Park after he threw’out the first pitch at the Last Dance World Series, presented by RWJBarnabas Health, championship game between Cougars Baseball (Cranford) and the Jackson Jags (Jackson Memorial). Cranford won 12-2 in five innings.’

Murphy’s comments came after he said earlier in the day the COVID-19 rate of transmission number of 1.35 was setting off “alarms that we are taking very seriously.”

Hasbrouck Heights Elks Award Scholarship to Chiara Colletti

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ – Hasbrouck Heights High School senior Chiara Colletti received the Noomburg Annuzzi’ Scholarship from the Hasbrouck Heights Elks Lodge #1962.

The scholarship is normally awarded at the annual Hasbrouck Heights awards night in early June. With schools still closed, the event was canceled. Joyce Powell’of the Elks invited Colletti and her family to the “Thank You BBQ” for first responders in mid-June to award her the scholarship.
