This fall, the three Hunterdon County all teams arguably had the best overall season on the tennis courts in quite some time.

Hunterdon Central saw a seven-win improvement from a year ago, finishing with a 12-6 record. The Red Devils ended the year No. 9 in the final Group 4 rankings. Throughout the year, they spent three weeks inside the NJ.com Top 20, getting as high as No. 16 in the state.

Plainfield Girls Varsity Tennis Team places in The Union County Tournament 2019

Plainfield, NJ ‘The Plainfield Girls Varsity Tennis Team participated in the Union County Tennis Tournament on September 25 and 26. The Lady Cardinals won 4 out of 5 of their first round matches.

Sophomore Dayanna Caluna, at first singles, took 7th place in her division. The team finished in 9th place out of 18 teams. Congratulations to all the members and coaches of the team.

NJSIAA releases 2019 girls volleyball classifications – nj.com

The 2018 campaign saw plenty of movement between four of the group classifications but as each rotation stays put for two seasons, there isn’t much to report heading into the upcoming campaign.

Still, now is the perfect time to take a look at each of the five classifications with some analysis on what to expect in the upcoming season.
