I’ll be working on a feature story for next week during the day, but I’ll be updating this post in the evening once I’m all filed. You should start seeing scores and stats on here around 7 p.m.

Just as a reminder, I’ll be on football duty both Friday night and Saturday afternoon and will have one scoreboard post for the weekend. It will be updated Saturday morning with all of Friday’s reported information, Saturday afternoon with whatever is in by about 6 p.m., and then again on Sunday with a final update.

In order for a player to be considered, the nomination must include: first and last name, position, grade, team, stats for the week (Monday-Sunday), opponents faced, and any relevant information you feel is appropriate.

Irvington’s Grace Thybulle slices between two Midlakes defenders during the Bulldogs’ 71-38 win in the state Class B championship at Hudson Valley Community College.

This will be Irvington’s sixth visit to the Federation Tournament of Champions. And even for head coach Gina Maher, who is in her 43rd season and owns more than 700 wins, ‘it never gets old.’

She and the Bulldogs have their eye on a fifth Federation title, and they’ll try to do so in the quirkily scheduled Class B. Irvington, the state public champion, takes on CHSAA titlist Holy Trinity on Friday afternoon in the lone semifinal.
