Michigan’s high school girls basketball defending champs and contenders for 2018-19

The 2018-19 Michigan high school girls basketball season will see plenty of changes, from the schedule to the post-season alignments.

But the top teams will likely remain the top teams, with the potential for three repeat state champions.

This season, Michigan high school basketball will move from classes to divisions, separating the state’s girls basketball teams into four equal divisions for the post-season.

The season and post-season will start a week later than normal to align itself with arena availability for the state semifinals and championship games, which will return to Calvin College.
