North Lake’s Briana Church dribbles around the Triad defense to help the Cowgirls claim a 58-27 Mountain Valley League girls basketball victory Friday.

Both teams were short a few players, making it harder to alleviate starters as the fast-paced game continued on, one which North Lake would eventually win, 58-27, and retain a share of the MVL lead with a 7-1 record.

The Timberwolves came onto the court in a defensive mindset. North Lake was persistent, stealing the ball and forcing layups, but Triad guarded its court.
