Record Number of Cars at 2018 Alden Classic Sports Car Show

More than 100 cars were lined up Sunday at the 18th annual Alden Classic Sports Car Show. Classic sports car owners from across the state received special invitations to attend the car show.

The show had door prizes that were donated from Alden locals, as well as competitions for best of show and other categories.

Some of the cars on display Sunday were originals made more than 60 years ago, while others were built from scratch.

“For me, it’s the people that have the cars, and they’re showing their cars off,” says John Russell, president of Twin Bay British Car Club. “A lot of these cars are originals. Some of them are one of a kind, all of them are loved deeply by the people that own them, and that’s the fun part of it.”
